A TARA ARTS and POLKA THEATRE co-production Three Sat Under The Banyan Tree by Shamser Sinha For ages 7 - 12 years Near the foothills of the Himalayas, three orphans open a magical book under a Banyan tree. Told the book wouldn’t give them answers but they’d learn from it, they stir a pot of milk and three stories of the forest rise from its pages. Stories of headstrong crows, old lions and devious jackals come vibrantly to life, with masks, movement and music. directed by Tara Arts' Artistic Director Jatinder Verma, design by Claudia Mayer. about the artist
The beautiful New Tara Theatre openned in autumn 2016 as a national landmark for multicultural theatre, fusing architectural styles from East and West. The new Theatre enlarged our existing intimate Tardis-like space, offering even more surprises to audiences and artists alike: Audiences now enjoy comfortable seating, an enlarged foyer and a new patio garden.
