It’s Christmas and when Clara is given a wooden nutcracker in the shape of a handsome Prince, little does she know that she and her brother Fritz are about to be drawn into a great adventure. 3 actors tell this magical tale with the help of masks, puppets, projection and beautiful music throughout. With a simple but hugely effective set, families are enthralled as our Storyteller weaves his magic once again.

Story Pocket Theatre has been producing top quality family shows for 6 years. It is a company devoted to telling stories on stage in the most exciting, imaginative and magical way. It has won two awards at the Edinburgh Fringe, Michael Morpurgo is their Patron and it has toured many theatres throughout the UK and abroad. It is currently touring an adaptation of David Baddiels' bestselling book, AniMalcolm to mid-large scale theatres.

It is a technical show so not suitable for one day bookings. The set is a static planked, wooden wall 3660mm length x 2440mm high.
We tour with 2 x moving lights / 6 x colour scrollers to fit parcans / 4 x LED battens to light the cyc unless the theatre has this equipment.
A projector to be hung from rig approx. 4m from back of stage. It needs DMX and HDMI to run back to tech box. This will be toured if projectors are not available at the theatre.
Back white cyc to be hung from the rig, if possible.
The target audience would be those who regularly attend children's theatre performances, families who enjoy reading, people who enjoy a range of organised family activities, who get together with friends and other families to enjoy activities together. Children from 5 years plus.
