Silver Moon

An alternative Christmas show that celebrates imagination, friendship and difference.

about the production

With masks and outside eye by Alison Duddle of Horse & Bamboo this show is a beautiful alternative to a Christmas story. This masked performance tells the story of a little polish girl, Helda and a rich boy, Jurgen, who break down class barriers on Christmas Eve.
Helda is poor, but her imagination is filled with her grandfather's folk tales taught to her through the enchanting voice of the cello. Jurgen is surrounded by beautifully wrapped presents but needs a friend to make his everyday magical. On Christmas Eve, Helda falls into Jurgen's world...

about the artist

Compagnie Animotion was set up in 2005 by Hayli Clifton to make work for Deaf and hearing audiences. Based in France since 2009, our shows are non-verbal, high visual and interdisciplinary ranging from mask, circus, live music to aerial dance. We have six children's shows, one street show and one aerial and circus show. We have worked with many exciting partners recently including street company Transe Express (2016 - aerial creation Vivace), Horse & Bamboo (2014- mask creation Silver Moon), Jacksons Lane (2015 - aerial show Je m'appuie sur toi).
