Project: Oggbots

by Root Experience

theatre, children-and-family

A UFO has crashed and your help is needed to save them from the Agents In Black. Expect robots, aliens and mystery in a galactic adventure.

about the production

Solve clues, meet mysterious characters and try to avoid being caught by shady government agents as you make your way to the mothership for a close encounter of the robotic kind. You’ll learn the basics of electronic engineering and get to take home your very own little robot for free. Outdoor fun for ages 7-11 who are prepared to go on an adventure for about an hour. Oggbots is a co-creation with MakerClub, a Brighton based company who are bringing children into a more active and creative relationship with the technology around them.

about the artist

We’re interactive arts makers and creative trainers who turn play into purpose – for communities, group leaders, creative facilitators and for anyone who simply wants to enjoy the freedom of being in the moment. We started life as a theatre company, devising performances that challenged the conventional actor-spectator relationship. This got us thinking about how we could use our skills in theatre, dance and improvisation to help others break down barriers in their worlds – in the creative workplace, in the classroom, in relationships or just within themselves.
