INTRUDER/INTRUZ

by Remi Rachuba

theatre, comedy

Following his dream, Remi moves to Scotland to become an actor. But an ugly and a vicious attack almost ruins his life…

about the production

The monologue is bilingual (English-Polish), non-linear, dynamic, physical and thought-provoking. Shortlisted for Adrian Pagan Playwriting Award at the King's Head Theatre, and on the final shortlist in the BBC Writersroom Drama Rachuba’s writing is heart-wrenching, unique and brutal. With elements of black humour and clever twists, the play keeps the audience transfixed, to witness a moving portrayal of acceptance and the ultimate forgiveness. It’s a moving, touching, comedic look at being in the wrong place at the wrong time and how a moment can change your life.

about the artist

The play received an extension at Summerhall, Fringe 2022 and was the recipient of 2022 VAULT FESTIVAL SUMMERHALL AWARD. Supported by Arts Council England and Creative Scotland.
