Shock Horror takes audiences on a heart pounding journey into the depths of human psyche. A haunting, cutting-edge ghost story combines multimedia screen action with live stage performance — perfect for Halloween. Herbert is a horror film fanatic. Raised in a cinema that screened only horror, hidden away by his deranged mother, Herbert develops a talent for making films of his own. Returning to the derelict cinema he grew up in, he presents his best film yet... Shock Horror. But there are more than memories inside The Metropol. What lurks behind the curtains? Or inside the walls itself?
about the artist
Thunder Road is a multi-award winning theatre company based in Yorkshire. To date we have produced six critically acclaimed, sell-out shows, supported by venues across the North. Our work has toured to studio spaces and main houses across the UK, supported by Arts Council England. Our current project, Shock Horror, has been seen by over 2,300 people, with 8 sell-out performances during it's 2022 UK tour.

DMX controlled lighting rig comprising of a range of styles of lighting fixtures which can be focussed and coloured as per the show requirement.
The company will tour with a Mac running QLab file, and requires a stereo PA system.
We provide our own front projection.
