about the production
The Hero Next Door is a ground-breaking new production created especially for 7 – 10 year olds. Meet Musa, who happens to be a refugee; Haley, an autistic girl who adores frogs; and Melody, a would-be bully. This unlikely trio come together to save an elderly neighbour from a con-woman posing as a carer, with thrilling and hilarious results. The Hero Next Door uses film, animation, music and physical theatre to be accessible. As a leading inclusive theatre company, Face Front has been proud to assemble a diverse collective of cast and creative including disabled, non-disabled and culturally diverse actors.
about the artist
Face Front has been creating inclusive theatre since 1999. Developing original, ground-breaking work with a company of disabled and non-disabled artists, we produce professional, entertaining and challenging multi-layered theatre. We always work inclusively, using the transformational power of theatre in order to challenge inequality and improve emotional wellbeing. We also specialise in theatre for young people and are highly regarded for our educational theatre for children. Our previous touring productions have included: Counting the Ways, Laundry Boy, Opening the Can and It’s My Move.

For Schools: Face Front is very experienced in working with schools and will be producing a teacher resource pack to accompany The Hero Next Door.
For families: We have a range of activities for families to take away or access online after the production. We can also advise on wraparound activities to support the show.
Our ideal scenario is a fee of £1000 but happy to discuss other options and explore other deals, for example a splits versus guarantees.
