DRAGON is a visually stunning, fantasy-genre puppetry show for families and children aged 8+, taking audiences on an exhilarating 70-min adventure, mixing cutting-edge projection and digital animation with beautiful live puppetry, performed by a cast of 3 to a soaring original score. This epic, thought-provoking and wordless show is perfect for adults and children aged 8+, and audiences with limited English or English as a second language. Dragon has been created by Life and Limb Puppets, the co-founder of Newcastle's Moving Parts Puppetry Festival. The production is supported by Horse and Bamboo, Alphabet Theatre and Curious School of Puppetry.
about the artist
Life and Limb Puppets co-founded Newcastle’s prestigious Moving Parts Puppetry Festival. The company are the festival’s current education partner and are artistically directed by William Steele, a Curious School of Puppetry Alumni. Following a three week, sell-out run of the show at Alphabetti Theatre, and performances at Beverley Puppet Festival and Horse and Bamboo, we are now booking for a full tour of the production in Autumn 2023. Show accessibility mainly based on the venues access requirements. Possible for shows to be relaxed performances, and the show is wordless so is accessible for audience members with a range of language skills and disabilities.
1hr puppet making workshop available for additional cost
Guaranteed fee of £850 one show or £1100 two shows (same day) inc. VAT. Additional fee can be negotiated for any extra puppet making workshops.
No covid-19 requirements planned, but subject to change due to any changes in government policy
