The Tortoise and The Hare - A Suitcase Story is the latest production from Kitchen Zoo. Featuring fantastical storytelling, inventive puppetry and compelling live jazz trombone and percussion, this 40 minute show is a great introduction to the inventiveness of live theatre.

Kitchen Zoo are a theatre company based in Newcastle. They create beautiful and entertaining family shows, usually inspired by traditional or folk tales. Kitchen Zoo are Associate Artists at ARC, Stockton.

The show is suitable for small scale and rural touring.
All sound is live and operated on stage.
We have a simple LX design and ask for a venue technician to operate the show for us. We provide a basic LX plan in advance.
In non theatre spaces, the show can be run without an LX rig
