A brand-new sci-fi myth that’s a billion years old and could never happen…yet. A comedy. For everyone 12+
about the production
What do you do when you find your planet is teetering on the edge of oblivion? When disaster is staring us in the face, why do we do nothing? Serving up comedy, science, fiction and a double helping of fear, Planet Lol is a myth for our times: a fast-paced female-led drama about facing up to reality and rewriting your endings. Planet Lol is premiering this October. We have dates in Sheffield (Theatre Deli) and The Holbeck and seek other partners for an October tour.

“We need stories to describe the present and shape the future. Because giving people the power of imagination also gives them the power to act. That’s why shows like Planet Lol are so important”
Paul Hodson's two-hander Meeting Joe Strummer made me both squirm with discomfort and flush with righteousness as I recognised so much of myself in the pair of characters. And I reckon much of the full house felt similar empathy.
No budget to accommodate a BSL interpreter at present. The play involves projected images and some captioned material.
