In Rise And Fall you’ll meet all manner of balloons from small floating moons to vast bouncing orbs. Forever expanding and contracting, balloons are free to float, fly and sway. Hold your breath and go sailing away. Rise and Fall is a poetic and intriguing performance for young audiences about holding on and letting go. For ages 2+. Rise and Fall first took flight in Autumn 2018 and travelled to the following theatres : Rose Theatre Kingston, Poplar Union, artsdepot, Polka Theatre, The Artground, Singapore, in partnership with Five Stones Theatre, Half Moon Theatre and Little Angel Theatre.

Page One Theatre are a company of collaborators creating visual theatre for young audiences. We believe that children should be offered inspirational theatrical experiences. We aim to inspire, challenge and feed imaginations. Combining movement and object puppetry we produce original and vibrant new performances for children and their families. Page One Theatre are a graduate Creative Talent company, a scheme run by Creative Youth to support companies develop themselves as a sustainable arts companies. Page One were also part of the Theatre-Rites Mentorship and Development Program. Throwing open the doors to the theatre world for those at the beginning of their journey.

We are not touring with a re-lighter so will ideally need a pre-rig and focus. We will tour our own gels and gobos. We tour a show file compatible with ETC desks. If your desk is not an ETC we will require a programmer to program the cue list. One person will operate both lights and sound so control for both needs to be in the same place.
Capacity is 50, unless otherwise agreed.
There will be up to 30 helium balloons in the production. One small helium balloon is released into the rig during the performance.

We offer a 15 minute Stay and Play after each performance where the children are invited to play with the balloons and take one home. There is no additional cost for this. Page One can also offer longer wrap around workshops if required - this activity and the cost can be discussed with each venue.

Performance fees range from £600 - £880 per day depending on venue location, number of shows in one day and any contra costs the company are required to pay. Fees are negotiable. Page One are not registered for VAT.
