"There is one man who's heart is cold, a money lender, deals in gold. His greed is something to behold...Humbug!" Hard-hearted Scrooge hates Christmas and all it stands for. Join him on Christmas Eve when he is visited by three strange ghosts who try to show him the error of his ways. LAStheatre's adaptation of the classic winter tale for those 5+, plays out on a giant seaside-themed Victorian toy theatre, providing lots of fun with 2D props featuring original songs, beautiful shadow puppetry and visitations from some very silly ghosts. Played to sold-out audiences at Folkestone Quarterhouse in 2019

LAStheatre is a company dedicated to creating work for young people and adults that is playful, artistic and imaginative for all the family to enjoy. LAS is a word in the Irish language; it means to ignite, turn on or set alight. LAStheatre specialises in creating theatrical experiences that fuse puppetry, shadow puppetry, circus, and original live music and to tell stories that engage young people and their families with important and complex themes in fun, joyous and participatory ways that ignite conversation and set imaginations alight.

It was an absolute joy to work with LAStheatre on the R&D for Mrs Lovewright and, subsequently, A Christmas Carol, our 2018 Xmas show. Both projects combined fabulous design with clever use of light, projection, puppetry and physical action to produce compelling storytelling and an immediate rapport with audiences young and old. The company is extremely friendly and professional; they deliver on time and on budget with great skill and creativity – making sparse resources go a long way with imaginative use of props, quick changes, catchy songs and incredibly talented performers.
We are happy to provide touch tours of our set to those who are less able to see
We are interested to adapt the production to be a relaxed performance should the theatre have an interest in this we would happily look at adjusting the show in consultation with the theatre
Drop in family workshops, at the theatre (alternative space will need to be provided) 30-60 minutes, post-show, focus on shadow puppetry design - fee to be negotiated
Primary and Secondary Schools workshops, in-school, 90 minutes, pre or post show, looking at the themes of the production - fee to be negotiated
1 or 2 shows a day and guaranteed against 70/30 split in LAStheatre's favour:
1 day: £850
2 days: £1,500
