One morning, Gregor wakes up and doesn’t feel quite right. He soon realises that – seemingly for no reason whatsoever – he has been cursed with an affliction unlike any other. Before long the metamorphosis takes hold of his mind and his loved ones, transforming their love for him into disgust and his love for them into torment. Beyond The Horizon take advantage of state-of-the-art makeup and prosthetic effects to present Gregor’s transformation in exquisite, ultra-realistic detail, in a journey that will both transfix and chill audiences to their core.

Beyond The Horizon are an emerging theatre company, creating dynamic, immersive performances driven by emotive stories and high-quality effects. We have toured to the main houses at Hereford Courtyard Theatre, Bromsgrove Artrix, and Bristol Tobacco Factory amongst others, and will be opening our tour of Metamorphosis with a week-long run at the main house of Birmingham Old Rep Theatre

As Kafka's Metamorphosis is on the school syllabus, A-Level and GCSE students are a large part of our target audience. Regular theatre audiences of classic texts such as Shakespeare and Greek Theatre are also a target.
