The Trench

by Les Enfants Terribles Theatre Company

theatre, music-and-opera

From the team behind, Alice's Adventures Underground, comes the critically acclaimed World War One drama from Les Enfants Terribles.

about the production

'The Trench' is inspired by the true story of a miner who became entombed in a tunnel during World War One. As the horror threatens to engulf him, he finds that not everything in the darkness is what it seems as he starts to discover a new, strange world beneath the mud and death. 'The Trench' blends puppetry, physical performance and live music, written by critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter Alexander Wolfe. It has previously had two 5* sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and was declared a 'Must See Show' by The Stage!

Our extensive reputation from Edinburgh Fringe and our appeal from our London runs will also attract further audiences due to our aesthetic, use of puppetry, and original compositions. All of these creatives have previously worked on LET's shows.

'The language is poetic, rather than demotic, but the symbolism is handled superbly and with the utmost sincerity.'
