Winner of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Primary Times Children's Choice Award 2014, Arabian Nights, was Story Pocket's debut show. It has 3 actors who bring to life over 40 colourful characters. It is fast-paced and funny with a beautiful dome-like set which lights up throughout the show. There is a wonderful reveal of a puppet and beautiful music throughout the show. The stories told are Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Aladdin, the Little Beggar and the Fisherman and the Genie.

Story Pocket Theatre has been producing top quality family shows for 6 years. It is a company devoted to telling stories on stage in the most exciting, imaginative and magical way. It has won two awards at the Edinburgh Fringe, Michael Morpurgo is their Patron and it has toured many theatres throughout the UK and abroad. It is currently touring an adaptation of David Baddiels' bestselling book, AniMalcolm to mid-large scale theatres.

The set consists of three sections that create a dome shape. Height 2.75m Diameter 3.75m in total. 1 chair – Height 1.20m, Width 0.90m
LIGHTING
Each set piece is wired with RGB LED tape. One is run off hard power (USC) and the other two are run off battery packs with wireless DMX.
We tour with a 1, 650W Fresnel floor lantern, on a floor stand.
We tour an ETC Nomad Puck lighting console and will need to patch into your in-house DMX.
Gel and gobos are all toured.
SOUND:
There is recorded music throughout the show which can be on CD or Qlab file.

The target audience would be those who regularly attend children's theatre performances, families who enjoy reading, people who enjoy a range of organised family activities, who get together with friends and other families to enjoy activities together. Children from 5 years plus.
