Dinner with the Macbeths

by Ferodo Bridges CIC

site-specific-and-immersive, theatre

An immersive meta-theatrical comedy exploring how we consume violence as spectators and our capacity for empathy. Plus Karaoke, Wine & Meats

about the production

An entertaining and disconcerting mixture of new writing, Shakespearean verse and cabaret-style performance forcing us to look at our apathy and preconceptions regarding gender and violence. Six actors invite the audience to sit among them and indulge in wine and cured meats while they become Shakespearean characters, sing karaoke and deconstruct the story of Macbeth with humour, insight and a lot of disagreements.

about the artist

Ferodo Bridges is a theatre company creating interactive and immersive theatre that equally provokes and entertains its audience since 2013. We like to subvert genres and expectations and we often use classical text to create new plays exploring contemporary political issues. We have been making shows in warehouses, abandoned offices and courthouses in London and now for the first time we want to take our work on tour in the UK. We believe our blend of comedy, pop-culture and political theatre can offer a new kind of experience to theatre-goers and also attract audiences outside that target group.
