A New Play Questioning Female Legacy
about the production
Can you have it all? Do you want it all? A scientist, on the cusp of a new IVF discovery, is faced with difficult decisions about her own fertility. Re: Production is an intimate story exploring women’s choices, and the science behind those choices, when weighing up careers, parenthood, and where self-worth is found.

We are engaged with traditional culture vultures, mature explorers, mid-life hobbyists & humanities-based students, but we will also be targeting science-students & time-poor dreamers with this production. We hope the audience will question their own assumptions about women’s positions in the workplace & how we define & structure family. People need to talk about why IVF is booming. As a forum for discussion, theatre needs to interrogate science.

Alongside the development of the show, we are piloting both a Parent & Baby Group With A Difference and more accessibility through Relaxed Performances which facilitate babies-in-arms. We hope to give new parents a deeper understanding of their individual identity within society. Based on the style of the production and the way we have been working, the performance creates a comfortable environment for parents with new babies & they are able to leave at any point during the piece.
Parent & Baby Group With A Difference - an interactive, discussion-based workshop looking at identity and perspectives through the characters and themes of the play. 2 hours. £100.
£500 guarantee versus 60/40 split in the company's favour, whichever is the greater. Negotiable depending on venue location and size.
