about the production
A desolate town. The jail explodes! El Kapitan is WANTED. No Name rides into town, closely followed by Blonde Eyes .Tumbleweed appears, the saloon is humming. A bank job, a bounty, the bell chimes, the coffin maker is busy. The noose sways in the wind. This cinematic world of the Wild West is brought to life in and around a frontier town made from pianos. The street, the desert & the jail come to life peopled by rod marionettes . Made for grown ups but suitable for all ages.

Croon productions create and perform puppet theatre. Previous shows include: • NOIR: A Dick Privet Mystery (Puppet theatre pastiche of film noir.) • Attack of the 50 foot woman (Puppet theatre version of the cult 1950’s sci-fi film.) • Whatt and Whoo’s Spiritualist Seance (15 minute Victorian séance for an audience of 6 at a time) • Betty Peartree and The Dogcatcher (a silent movie pastiche - street theatre) Croon productions are dedicated to making exciting, unpredictable and whimsical puppet theatre. Stylish,funny and dark stories told by beautiful puppets. Our shows are made for grown ups but they are suitable for all.

we can also offer venues a choice of workshops to
support the show. These can be tailored to your requirements.
These include:
• Puppetry and object manipulation for children, adults or families.
• Theatre workshop for young people.
All workshops need to run in the venue and cost £30 pr hour. From 1 hour to full days depending on requirements.
We also offer after show discussions and the opportunity to meet the puppets- for 1 hour at cost of £60 on top of show fee.
£600 per show. - No VAT. This includes travel costs.( open to negotiation depending on distance/ overnight stays etc)
