about the production
'The lush sand was swept away in a rush of power, and the beach was no longer a beach, for it was underwater, and slowly drowning.' Weaving together 100 stories written especially for us by young people from across the UK, Sea Story takes you on a magical journey over, across, and even under the sea. Combining dance, storytelling, music, and puppetry; expect storms, shipwrecks, pirates, and a very curious sea creature… Sea Story is highly adaptable and can be placed in a range of performance spaces. Suitable for all ages (recommended 5+).

We create beautiful work which has rawness and authenticity. Our passion is the power of movement to communicate meaning, to tell the stories that start where the words end and our imagination takes over. Our work is intelligent, virtuosic, moving, and magical. With a strong focus on making work with and for young people, we never talk down, dumb down, or lighten up because our audience is young. Our trademark small-scale spectacles excite and inspire our audiences, challenging notions of what dance is and can be, what men and women can do, and how art should be.

A hearing aid neckloop can be worn by our storyteller, if provided by the venue.
Workshops can be provided on request including dance and creative movement, dance and creative writing, and CPD activities for local artists. Bespoke workshops can be developed on request. A workshop can be included as part of your performance package at no extra cost, or additional workshop days can be arranged.

Up to £1,100 per day.
Each day can include up to 2 performances, or a performance and a workshop. Additional days can be included at a lower cost.
This fee includes travel, accommodation and print.
We are not VAT-registered.
This fee is negotiable, and will depend on travel and accommodation.
