about the production

Created by award winning disabled choreographer Marc Brew this inclusive music and dance performance brings together top Scottish rock artists Graeme Smillie (Unwinding Hours, The Vaselines, Emma Pollock, A Mote Of Dust), Jill O’Sullivan (BDY_PRTS, Sparrow And The Workshop), Peter Kelly (Galchen/The Kills/ Jonnie Common) with talented dancer/musicians Martyn Garside (San Francisco Ballet, Balletboyz), Marta Masiero (Scottish Dance Theatre) and Alice Sheppard (Axis Dance Company), The evening will be promenade style, melding rock music with Marc Brew’s distinctive choreography, to create an exciting evening as much a music gig as it is a dance performance.

“Bursting with exciting choreography.” about Marc's previous works

We aim to make all of our productions as accessible as possible. The work will have audio description and can offer touch tours prior to the shows. Where possible we will also have BSL. Please contact us for the most up to date info on access.

Dance and music workshops available to support the tour. We propose to develop a comprehensive education programme that will mirror the collaboration that occurs in BREWBAND. The idea being that in each location, we will put out a call for young bands to find an inspiring piece of music. A musician will mentor the group, while a dance artist will work with local young people (dancers and the band) to create a new piece that will act as an opener for the main show mirroring the creative process of BREWBAND.

£1500. Ideally plus travel and accommodation, but happy to chat if you are interested to see what deal we can do.
