theatre, children-and-family
Rich in facts, folklore and eco-themed fun! Explore with Fraxi the ash tree and friends in their ever-changing forest home.
about the production
Home provider, oxygen producer, and first-rate playmate; Fraxi the ash tree is a guardian (and BFF!) to all woodland creatures. As the seasons change and new experiences beckon, Fraxi's friends learn to embrace change as a part of life. When tragedy strikes and Fraxi is infected with airborne ash-dieback, her childhood friend Woody must choose how to save the forest. A triumph of whimsical physical theatre, this touching story about nature and resilience is written by Scotland New Playwrights Award winner, Jack Dickson. Developed in partnership with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for Fringe 2015, and returning 2016. www.fraxi.co.uk
