Librarian Lil has worked in the library for forty-five years and is becoming bored… but she’s about to find that you can’t judge a book by its cover… After the runaway success of last year’s touring show The Case of the Curious Suitcase, the amazing and imaginative Rhubarb Theatre present a new treat for everyone aged 5 and up. Once the books are stamped, the pages start to rustle and Lil is sucked into a whirlwind of words where tales of bravery become reality and every day is a new adventure!

Rhubarb Theatre delivers creative, original and theatrical experiences to entertain and stimulate imaginations of every age. Formed in November 2000 by professional actors Philip and Kirsty Mead, Rhubarb Theatre tours internationally with a diverse programme of performances, street theatre, storytelling and workshops. Rhubarb have entertained audiences of all ages in schools, theatres, heritage sites, festivals and arts centres. They have toured to hundreds of venues across the UK and beyond, taken premieres to the nationally acclaimed SPARK Children's Festival and Sydney Contemporary Art Gallery and have been wowing the crowds at Latitude and Glastonbury festivals since 2012.
